Belong to FICS

A global community. A shared purpose.

FICS, the International Federation of Sports Chiropractic (Fédération Internationale de Chiropratique du Sport), connects sports chiropractors through education, mentoring, research and athlete care.

Our members and partner organisations represent, promote and strengthen sports chiropractic locally, nationally and internationally. Together, we work towards equitable access to sports chiropractic for all athletes.

National Chiropractic Sports Council

Join your national community.

Joining your local NCSC includes FICS membership, connecting you with colleagues, educational opportunities and international initiatives while supporting sports chiropractic in your country.

  • Registration: your NCSC handles the local membership pathway. Some countries register their Fellows directly with FICS, so check your arrangements with your council.
  • Fees: FICS charges the NCSC CHF 30 per person per calendar year. This component is included in the fee you pay your NCSC.
  • Opportunities: access local events at member rates, FICS benefits, eligible ICSC scholarships and grants, and priority consideration for international event selection.
Establishing a new NCSC in your country

The FICS Membership Commission helps members establish a council and provides ongoing support as it develops.

A new NCSC needs articles and bylaws. FICS can supply templates designed to provide a clear governance structure while allowing flexibility for the council’s local needs.

Those forming a council may wish to obtain local legal advice about the requirements for establishing an association, including any minimum membership requirements.

Ask the Membership Commission for the current FICS Statutes and guidance on Article 4.1, which is referenced in the council registration information.

Regional Chiropractic Sports Council

Regional membership, local connections.

Who it supports

An RCSC is established by FICS for countries or regions where legal, political, professional, financial or membership barriers prevent a recognised NCSC from being established.

How it works

A committee nominated from the RCSC’s members manages its local activities, with financial and administrative support provided by FICS.

Regional coverage

Regional groupings cover Africa, Asia, Europe, Oceania, North and Central America and the Caribbean, and Latin (South) America.

Check your membership pathway and country-based discount eligibility before completing the RCSC application.

The application form sets out recognised chiropractic qualification requirements. Submit your qualifications and chiropractic transcript, along with a professional referee and an explanation of why you wish to join.

Associate membership

Associate membership is for organisations, institutions and individuals who support the FICS mission. This may include national associations affiliated with the World Federation of Chiropractic.

Associate members help strengthen education, research and the profession’s global network. Participating organisations can offer their chiropractic members the reduced CHF 60 FICS individual membership pathway.

  • Collaboration: continuing education partnerships, including opportunities to develop shared-revenue partnerships connected with recognition of the ICSC program.
  • Communication: opportunities to share relevant news, educational programs and publications through quarterly FICS eNews and social media.
