GDPR Privacy Policy
Management of data and protection of personal information is important to us and we take privacy seriously. This privacy policy is for our members, users of our website and other individuals that interact with us. We aim to always comply with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).
It is important to us to be clear about what data we collect, why we collect it and how we use it. This privacy policy explains our views and practices concerning privacy, and how they may apply to you.
FICS Ethics Policy
The International Federation of Sports Chiropractic / Fédération Internationale de Chiropratique du Sport (FICS) and each of the affiliated Chiropractic Sports Councils and their participating members (hereinafter known as “Members”) wishing to participate in FICS related sporting events restate their commitment to the FICS Statutes. At all times the FICS and its affiliated parties and, the participants, undertake to respect and ensure respect of the code of ethics.
Conflict of Interest
FICS members and volunteers must meet high ethical standards in order to merit the trust of the chiropractic profession, its stakeholders and the wider public. The integrity of FICS depends on ethical behaviour throughout the organisation and, in particular, on fair, informed decision-making. The ability to make a decision is sometimes affected by other interests of individuals in the organisation. The objective of this policy is to permit FICS to manage conflict of interest situations successfully and resolve them fairly.
Refund Policy
Members who register for a FICS course, workshop or seminar occasionally change their mind for one reason or another. Regardless of the reason, we believe there should be a definite refund policy for members who decide not to take the course. Refunds are only given under the following circumstances:
Code of Conduct
FICS requires all volunteers associated with FICS to observe high standards of integrity and honesty, and to act with care, diligence and fairness in all our business activities. All our interactions with stakeholders and the wider society should be conducted in an ethical and proper manner. To that end, all members are to apply this code and all supporting policies, the laws and regulations of all countries in which we operate.
Clear Sexual Boundaries
This guideline aims to set out the responsibilities of chiropractors in relation to the creation and maintenance of clear sexual boundaries with patients (including but not limited to the patient’s parent/guardians/spouses/team mates/friends/anyone in the vicinity of the treatment administration) and what to do if these boundaries are crossed.
