FICS Refund Policy

Members who register for a FICS course, workshop or seminar occasionally change their mind for one reason or another. Regardless of the reason, we believe there should be a definite refund policy for members who decide not to take the course. Refunds are only given under the following circumstances:

Version date January 21, 2019

SPORT CHIROPRACTIC COURSES

You can request a full refund* up to ten days after confirmation that your purchase has been completed, provided the online theory part of the course has not been started. Any request for withdrawal after ten days of the purchase date, or once the course has been started, will receive a credit note which can be used towards paying for a future FICS course, workshop or seminar. This will only be granted during the first quarter of the course. Credit notes expire after 12 months.

*Courses that cannot be continued or rescheduled as a result of a FICS issue will be refunded in full. Upon presentation of evidence and receipts reasonable out of pocket expenses for travel which was unable to be changed will also be considered.

*20% of the course fee will be charged as an administration fee for participants which change their mind after purchase.

WORKSHOPS AND SEMINARS

You can request a full refund up to 10 days after paying for access to a workshop or seminar provided you have not yet accessed the materials. Any request for refunds after ten days following purchase, or once you have accessed the materials, will receive a credit note which can be used towards a future FICS course, workshop or seminar.  Credit notes expire after 12 months.

NEW COURSES OR UPDATES

FICS education is committed to ensuring that its online material remains up-to-date. To achieve this, FICS education will work on a cycle of reviewing and creating new material every two years, which will contain updated content reflecting any best practices at that time of creation.

Our policy for updates and content improvements dictates that any enhancements made to an updated version of an online module will be treated as new additions to the course. These updates will be made available on our learning platform using a version control system. However, we understand that some individuals may have already undertaken an earlier edition of the course.

To accommodate those who have completed or are partway through the previous edition, FICS provide a grace period of 12 months before the new material becomes mandatory for members applying for the ICSC certification completion. During this phase-in period, learners can continue with the earlier version of the course and still use that module to apply for completion of the ICSC Certification.

It is important to note that these updates may be subject to additional fees, and they will not be automatically awarded to individuals who have already completed or partially completed the earlier module. Participants will have to opt for the updated material separately, and it will be considered an additional purchase. Participants who have NOT started a module when an update is released will be transferred to the new material at no additional cost.

By following this approach, FICS education aims to provide its members with the most current and relevant knowledge, enabling them to stay ahead in the ever-evolving industry. We strive to keep our courses comprehensive, up-to-date, and valuable resources for our learners, empowering them with the knowledge they need to succeed in advanced care of athletes.

CONFERENCES AND SYMPOSIUMS

You can request a full refund up to 10 days* after paying for a FICS hosted conference or symposium. Any request for refunds after ten days following payment, if approved, will receive a credit note which can be used towards a future FICS conference or symposium. In such cases, 20% of the fee will be charged as an administration fee. Credit notes expire after 12 months.

Requests for refunds for conferences or symposiums hosted by third parties will be in accordance with the refund policy of the third party. FICS is not liable for refunds for withdrawals from third-party hosted events.

EXCHANGE RATE FLUCTUATIONS

Exchange rate fluctuations for international payments are constant and unavoidable. All refunds are processed in CHF (Swiss Franc), and will reflect the exchange rate in effect on the date of the refund. All refunds are subject to this fluctuation and FICS is not responsible for any change in exchange rates between time of payment and time of refund.

CHANGES TO PAYMENT AND REFUND POLICY

We reserve the right to change this refund policy terms and conditions at any time. Any such changes will take effect when posted on the website.
