From October 27 to November 9, 2022, the World Jiu-Jitsu Championships took place for the 3rd and last time in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Over 15 days, all age categories and jiu-jitsu practice competed. (Fighting, system, duo system, duo show, ne waza) That is a little over 1400 people present over the 15 days of competition. We were 3 from October 29th then 4 from November 5th to help athletes, referees, coaches, organizers and volunteers.

We performed more than 400 treatments over the 15 days of competition. requests ranging from muscular work to the break of tape to see more serious injuries at the level of the shoulders, forearms, knees and ankles for the most frequent.

Like the past two years, we have worked in harmony with the local medical teams. This good spirit made it possible not to waste time on the future of the athletes (additional exams, silence, leaving the competition or returning to the competition). Having a dedicated space, I offered to the medical teams of the delegations present to share our dedicated space in order to facilitate the work of all. Indeed, given the large number of participants, it was important to have a defined space where we could all work calmly and facilitate the synergy of our care; we were also able to have time (coffee breaks to discuss all together and not only on the case of the athletes).

It was a good experience to repeat.
