Covid-19 Health Concerns

by | Dec 10, 2020 | ICSC News

Dear FICS Members, it has been a difficult year for all as we follow the development of the COVID-19 epidemic closely. With the ever-changing and growing large ban on large-scale events and the current travel restrictions in place around the world,  we are still anticipating the return to planned seminars and international games. We understand the effects on your plans and practices and will work with members to keep you informed as development arise.   The majority of International Sport events are still in a holding pattern at this point. International Federations are planning for a return to sporting events when it is safe to do so hopefully in 2021. FICS are expecting to see a return to planned events in 2021 but event calendars are still unavailable for most international sports events. Many countries have halted some or all international travel since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic and the opening up of flights around the world will be slow. The gradual lifting of travel measures will take some time and FICS will be looking to manage this by using local doctors at events where available.

International Sporting Federations are taking advice from their local health bodies and FICS are closely monitoring the situation in line with WFC updates.
