Dr Amy Bowzaylo, DC

Born and raised in Athabasca, Alberta, Canada. Amy was a competitive gymnast and Ukrainian dancer throughout her youth. At age 12 she landed on her head doing a double-twisting, double backflip. She suffered intense pain in the neck and both arms. Chiropractic care helped Dr. Amy recover and return to competitive sports. From that time, she decided that chiropractic was the career for her.

She has extensive experience in the sports arena with rugby, football, gymnastics, marathons, triathlons, golf, and a special interest in women’s health and prenatal care. For the first seven years of her career, Dr. Amy worked in multidisciplinary clinics in San Francisco and San Jose. Then she worked in Australia for a year, and then Saudi Arabia for 10 years; 7 of which she spent as the Director of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Triple accredited (JCI, ACI, ACHSI) Saad Specialist Hospital. In 2010 she decided to move to Bahrain and venture out on her own, opening InTouch in 2014. In Bahrain she is the Medical Director of Bahrain Rugby Football Club and has been instrumental in the development of Sports Rehabilitation in Triathlon, Boxing, Ducati Superbikes, Gaelic Football, Judo and Netball.
