Why Be Part of FICS?
Because sport is global — and so is excellence.
FICS (Fédération Internationale de Chiropratique du Sport) is where sports chiropractors connect with the world stage of sport. It’s not just about education or credentials — it’s about experience, exposure, contribution, and belonging to something bigger than any one country or clinic.
Being part of FICS means stepping into an international community of doctors who are shaping how chiropractic is recognised, integrated, and respected in sport — across decades, continents, and cultures.
A Global Experience You Can’t Replicate Online
Education is everywhere today. Experience is not.
FICS membership opens doors to opportunities that simply cannot be replicated through online learning alone:
- Working side-by-side with international sports chiropractors
- Supporting athletes at World Championships and multi-sport events
- Learning hands-on in high-performance, real-world environments
- Being immersed in different sports, healthcare systems, and cultures
This is where clinical skills meet adaptability, teamwork, and leadership — developing not just better doctors, but better humans.
Event opportunities depend on the event’s requirements, practitioner credentials and selection. Membership does not guarantee an event appointment.
Inside the FICS World
Imagine seeing yourself in the middle of:
- Short clips from world championship events
- Athletes talking about why they trust chiropractors
- Doctors from different countries, sports, and backgrounds, united by sport
- Chiropractic students sharing what they thought an international internship would be, and what it actually became
- Opening ceremonies, team briefings, and the moments behind the medals
- International sports meetings, showing how FICS represents chiropractic alongside global sporting federations
This is the reality of FICS — dynamic, diverse, colourful, and deeply connected.
Why FICS, and Why It Matters
FICS has represented sports chiropractic internationally for decades, working within the global sport ecosystem in a way that no single national chiropractic organisation can.
- FICS operates at an international federation level
- It maintains long-standing relationships within global sport governance
- It provides a consistent, recognised pathway for sports chiropractors worldwide
This is why FICS is based in Switzerland, the home of international sport governance, and why membership is held in Swiss Francs, aligning with international standards and structures.
The Benefits of Membership
More Than Membership - Global Community - FICS is powered by its members from all corners of the world.
Many of the videos, interviews, and behind-the-scenes stories you see are created by volunteer FICS doctors at international sporting events. Through FICS membership, doctors can share their experiences, grow their professional profile, and connect with a global network of sports chiropractors.
FICS helps members share their stories by country and sport, supports content in multiple languages, and reflects diversity across gender, culture, and career stage, bringing the international sports chiropractic community together.
The Benefits of Membership (At a Glance)
- Access to international sporting events
- Defined education and ICSC pathways
- Hands-on mentorship with experienced international clinicians
- Global professional recognition and credibility
- Opportunities to contribute, lead, and shape the profession
- Lifelong professional relationships and friendships
- Travel, cultural exposure, and unforgettable experiences
The FICS Difference
It’s about being part of a team that celebrates wins together, supports each other under pressure, and shares a belief that sports chiropractic deserves a strong, united voice on the world stage.
If you want more than just education — if you want to belong, contribute, and experience sport globally — FICS is where you start.
