2023 European Jiu-jitsu Championships Zagreb, Croatia.

Written by Dr Audrey Yargui, DC

From November 23 to 27, doctors Audrey (France) and José Verstratean (Netherland) accompanied athletes from all over Europe. The European Jiu-jitsu Championships were held in Zagreb, Croatia.

Thirty nations were involved in this competition, including England who we saw for the first time. The athletes were in good shape, despite a busy season. We have done around a hundred treatments in all categories (fighting system, duo system, duos show and ne waza).

The atmosphere was as usual friendly and passionate during the final stages. Thank you to the JJEU and the Croatian Federation for their work and their welcome. It was very pleasant to be able to join the competition on foot from our hotels and visit Zagreb a little.
