Dr. Klein lives in Queensland Australia and has been involved in a variety of industries beginning his career in health, physical education, and media/sports journalism at West Chester University (USA). He has enjoyed success over the past 30 years nationally and internationally as lecturer/trainer, business consultant, personal trainer, massage therapist, and business owner.
In the United States, he owned a marketing consultancy and had his own massage/personal training practice before moving to Australia and being appointed as a lecturer and course convenor at the University of Canberra, Australia, in Sports Administration in 1994 where he enjoyed the opportunity to teach in Hong Kong and present strategic planning and marketing to the Oceanic National Olympic Committee NGOs in Fiji.
In 2000-01, he worked as an Internet Strategist/Business Analyst at MIMS Data Systems before embarking on his personal entrepreneurial endeavors in IT, education, and health. He was the founder of the Australian Capital Territory (ACT Canberra) Australia Health and Fitness Expo, the Australian Get Healthy Challenge, and the award-winning Corporate Health and Fitness Challenge. He served as a volunteer on many health, fitness, and education-related boards within Australia and internationally (some of which as President). He served on the ACT Minister’s Advisory Council for Sport and Recreation. He also served as Deputy Chair and Chair of the IT Forum Gold Coast.
Dion has undergraduate and graduate degrees in Health & Physical Education/Sports Administration from West Chester University (PA), Temple University (PA), and the University of New Mexico. He completed his MBA (Internet Marketing/International Business) from Charles Sturt University and received a Graduate Certificate in Higher Education from the University of Canberra. He recently completed a Diploma of Event Management, Diploma of Business, and a Diploma of Leadership and Management. He holds a Certificate III and IV in Fitness, Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment, a Certificate IV in Massage Therapy Practice as well as Certificate IV’s in Business Small Business Management, Marketing, Business Sales, and a Statement of Attainment in Career Counselling.
He appreciates the importance of life balance having to manage a number of companies including Diverse Concepts International Pty Ltd t/a Healthy Worksite, The Wise Academy Pty Ltd, and The Wellness Academy Pty Ltd.
