Dr. Brett Martin

Brett R. Martin is a chiropractor and acupuncturist. He graduated from National University of Health Sciences. Martin has published several journal articles together including: “Effects of Statin Drugs on Atherosclerosis and Cardiovascular Disease due to Reductase Inhibition and Nutrient Depletions”, “The Clinical Treatment Protocol Manual: Emphasis in Nutrition”, “The Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde Aspects of Cooking Herbs and Spices: The Medicinal Properties and Potential for Contamination”, “Western and Chinese Etiologies and Evaluation of the Treatment of Primary Hypertension with Acupuncture”, “Acupuncture for the Treatment of Hyperhidrosis: A Case Report”, “Clinical Treatment Protocol Emphasis on Nutrition – A to Z Part One of a Collectible Series”, “Dietary and Lifestyle Changes in the Treatment of a 23-Year-Old Female Patient with Migraine” and Treatment of a Woman with Glycyrrhiza glabra for Acute Sinusitis: A Case Report”.

He gained clinical experience working in the Salvation Army Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation center, Martin Chiropractic Clinic (a family practice), a post-traumatic stress disorder clinic, Living Well Cancer Resource Center, John Stroger Hospital Pain Management Department and the National University of Health Sciences Whole Health Clinic. Martin is currently lecturing for the National University of Health Sciences as an Assistant Professor of Human Biochemistry, Organic Chemistry II, Evaluation of the Modern Diet, Introduction to Toxicology, Nutritional Biochemistry, Fundamentals of Public Health, Botanical Medicine I and II and the Acupuncture certification program. He also teaches Anatomy and Physiology I and II and Principles of Nutrition for St. Petersburg College and Nutrition, Biochemistry and Anatomy and Physiology I and II online for Purdue University Global. He is also the Head Clinician at the Veteran’s Clinic at the Whole Health Clinic.
