| 1. ACTIVITY: Summary of activity within your NCSC over the last quarter. If there has not been much activity in the last quarter, you may consider including any projects you are working on, issues your NCSC is facing, discussions or growth with which you may like support. | Still finalising our “core competencies”. For example if you want to progress to Silver level or Gold level membership you’d have to prove you’re competent in certain things. The hope is that we can improve the standard of sport chiropractic in the UK over a number of years. And be more confident that our Gold/Silver level members have all reached a similar standard. Achievement of these competencies will be demonstrated by undertaking appropriate training courses and through documenting the management of specified cases/situations. We hosted had a webinar with over 169 delegates. The speaker was Dr Ellen Casey, USA gymnastics team doctor. Talking about exercise recommendation during pregnancy and the female athlete. We hosted the Upper Limb hands-on seminar for FICS with 28 delegates We have awarded £15,000 towards research investigating "the role of the head-neck segment musculature on sports-related concussion". The AECC university college will provide an additional £5,000 towards this. We have had a number of chiros having interviews to be part of the medical services at the Commonwealth Games in 2022. |
