1. ACTIVITY: Summary of activity within your NCSC over the last quarter. If there has not been much activity in the last quarter, you may consider including any projects you are working on, issues your NCSC is facing, discussions or growth with which you may like support.

We are pleased to provide you with an update on the activities and progress of the American Chiropractic Association Sports Council (ACASC) as the National Sports Chiropractic Committee (NCSC) of FICS in the United States. Here are the highlights from the past quarter:

Symposium Planning:
We have begun planning for the upcoming Symposium on October 13 and 14 in Long Beach. During the event, we will be emphasizing the benefits of FICS membership and educating our members about the various opportunities within FICS. Additionally, we will introduce the material and pathway for the International Certificate in Sports Chiropractic (ICSC) to encourage our members to pursue this certification.

Formal Written NCSC Agreement:
We have been in communication with Nat to finalize our formal written NCSC agreement. We are hopeful that we will complete this agreement in the near future, establishing a stronger partnership between ACASC and FICS.

Midyear Board Meeting:
Our Midyear board meeting was successfully held, where we discussed important matters and made strategic decisions to drive the progress of ACASC.

Online Development Program and Webinars:
We are in the process of developing an online development program for our member sport chiropractors, providing them with valuable resources and educational opportunities. We have also started recording and adding webinars to our platform for members' continuing education.

Research Committee:
We have expanded the responsibilities and direction for our research committee, empowering them to contribute more actively to research in sports chiropractic.

Treasurer's Initiatives:
Our treasurer has been working with collegiate rugby and has had casual conversations with NCR/CRC Rugby representatives during the national championships. We are establishing relationships with local medical teams, although the EAP for the event did not mention DCs as providers. We will continue an open dialogue to ensure that chiropractors are included in the appropriate roles and responsibilities in athlete care.

Member Resources and Website:
We continue to add valuable member resources to our website, enhancing the experience and value for our members.

Collaboration with American Chiropractic Association:
We have suggested sport chiropractic topics to the American Chiropractic Association for presentation at their annual meeting in Washington DC, aiming to raise awareness and promote sports chiropractic within the broader chiropractic community.

State Associations and Sub Councils:
We have initiated the formation of a committee to collaborate with state associations and help develop sport chiropractic associations or sub councils at the state level, fostering growth and unity within the profession.

Reengaging Previous Members:
To increase membership retention, we are developing communication strategies to reengage with previous members who have allowed their membership to lapse, showcasing the value and benefits of being part of ACASC.

United States Olympic Training Center:
We will be communicating with the United States Olympic Training Center regarding the requirements for parity in application, specifically addressing the discrepancy in requirements for chiropractic advanced training in sports compared to other disciplines. We aim to review and address any potential discrimination towards specific provider disciplines.

We are committed to the advancement of sports chiropractic in the United States and appreciate the ongoing support from FICS. We look forward to continued collaboration and progress in the upcoming quarter.
