This masterclass provides an introduction of IASTM theory and its application for common MSK disorders. The physiology, neurology, and anatomy of soft tissue injuries and how IASTM affects them are discussed. The concepts of using motion, resistance, functional positions in the application of IASTM are introduced. Applications of pro-inflammatory, neurologic resets, and anti-inflammatory using IASTM are presented as well as which soft tissue injuries these applications should be applied to. Finally, video examples of the application of IASTM are presented to further the comprehension of IASTM in soft tissue injuries.
