We had a short meeting with the AIC GEP (General Education Program) representative on April 25,2023. The GEP program is designed to inform and educate new graduates about starting up professional practice in Italy. We'd like to combine GEP requirements with practical hours in sports settings for new grads that can also apply to ICSC program requirements. In addition CICS/FICS will present opportunites and benefits of sports chiropractic to students and new grads at the next GEP live event in November 2023.

Continue to collaborate with the AIC Scientific Committe in the creation and analysis of a survey for all members of the AIC in order to have a more specific, detailed overview of chiropractic participation in sports settings as well as post-graduate preparation in sports chiropractic in Italy.

CHALLENGES: List any challenges which your NCSC are facing, or your Executives are working to solve. (List N/A if none at this stage)

Please see the response listed in the prior report submitted. In short, chiropractic is still not fully recoginized and regulated as a health profession in Italy, which makes it difficult to formally, officially approach federations/organizations.
Our national professional association AIC has been omnipresent in giving input to government agencies in specifying a clear scope-of-practice for our health profession as outlined in the December 2018 healthcare reform legislation. The last deadline which was established for creating official regulation of the chiropractic profession was extended from 31.12.22 to 30.06.2023.
