We had a short meeting with the representative for AIC's GEP (General Education Program) on March 25,2023. The GEP program is designed to inform and educate new graduates about starting up professional practice in Italy. Considering that there are relatively few chiropractors in Italy, we'd like to pool our resources and combine GEP requirements with practical hours in sports settings for new grads that can also apply to ICSC program. Additionally, we would like to promote CICS/FICS activity and benefits to students and new grads that will be participating in the next "live" portion of the GEP program in November 2023.

Continue to dialogue with the AIC Scientific Committtee regarding the creation and analysis of a survey for all members of the AIC in order to have a more specific, detailed overview of chiropractic participation in sports settings as well as post-graduate preparation in sports chiropractic in Italy.

CHALLENGES: List any challenges which your NCSC are facing, or your Executives are working to solve. (List N/A if none at this stage)

Please see the response listed in the prior report submitted. In short, the chiropractic profession is still not fully recognized or regulated as a health profession in Italy, which makes it difficult to officially and formally approach federations/organizations.

Our national chiropractic association (AIC) has been omnipresent in giving input toward a clear scope-of-practice for our health profession as outlined in the December 2018 healthcare reform legislation. The last deadline set to delineate clear outlines was extended from 31/12/2022 to 30/06/2023.

Our member, Renaud Dejean, is currently continuing his role as an official member of the CONI (Italian National Olympic Committee) delegation/health care team.
We continue to brainstorm ideas for the organization of a multidisciplinary course in Rome through CONI's "school of sport", preferably with a DC as an instructor.

COLLABORATION: List any major events/conferences which you have coming up and a event link so FICS can co-promote. (If applicable)

We are giving logistical support to the FICS ICSC LE Hands-On Module on 20-21 May, 2023 following on the heels of the UE Module in September 2022. Hopefully we can organize another ICSC Hands-On Module in 2024.

OPPORTUNITIES: List any opportunities which you may like FICS to help support or promote. (If applicable)

The CSIT World Sports Games are in Italy at the beginning of September 2023. The Games Committee can reach out to us if they need any logistical assistance locally.
