Dr. Keith Overland, DC, FICC has run a private chiropractic practice in Connecticut, USA for more than 35 years. He is dedicated to helping patients obtain access to conservative, cost-effective chiropractic care and to promoting the benefits of a healthy and active lifestyle.
In addition to being a past president of ACA, Dr. Overland has served as an ACA representative to the WFC and as Chairman of the ACA’s legislative committee, membership committee, political action committee and liaison to the ACA sports council and in 2014 honored as the ACA Chiropractor of the year!
In his home state, Dr. Overland was appointed by the governor to serve as chair of the Connecticut Governors Committee on Physical Fitness and as a member of the Connecticut Board of Chiropractic examiners. He is the past president of both the Connecticut Chiropractic Association and the New England Chiropractic Council.
A 1981 graduate of New York Chiropractic College (NYCC), Dr. Overland has also made a mark in sports chiropractic, having worked with the New York Mets baseball team, the United State Speed Skating team, the United States Olympic Training Center, multiple World cups, the World Games in Taiwan and Germany with FICS, at the US Open golf championships and with many other state and local sports teams. He has taught undergraduate sports chiropractic courses at the University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic (UBCC) and New York Chiropractic College. Dr. Overland is the medical editor for North East Tennis Magazine and has taught classes for the United States Tennis Association. He has authored about 40 articles and taught seminars worldwide on the prevention and treatment of sports injuries.
Dr. Overland has been a spokesman for the chiropractic profession utilizing various forms of media from TV and radio to podcasts and interviews in some of the most important consumer publications. In his community as a board member of various non-profits, he has helped raise millions of dollars for multiple organizations.
Dr. Overlands’ passion as FICS Secretary-General will be focused on helping FICS achieve its mission, “Every athlete deserves access to sports chiropractic” by continuing to build the necessary resources to support chiropractic team attend sporting events, nationally and internationally.
