Masters of Business Management focusing on strategy and globalization.
Mr Harrison-Brown is an executive-level leader qualified and experienced in strategic and operational management and has a proven track record in the delivery of projects in the government, not-for-profit and commercial sectors. He holds a Masters of Business Management focusing on strategy and globalization and possesses a solid track record of achieving set goals and objectives, with an ability to work productively in high-pressure, demanding and fast-paced environments.
Mr Harrison-Brown’s operational and strategic experience was initially developed through his career in the Royal Australian Air Force, where he started out in electronics and finished up managing the facilities operations for Defence’s $24B property portfolio.
Following this, he moved into Strategic Planning and Estate Development, defining the strategic facilities requirements to meet Defence capability prior to retiring from the Air Force and taking up a role in a software development company.
In 2004, he took over the role of director of operations for the company, and then, in 2007, he stepped into the CEO role, where he spent the next 10 years growing the company into an innovative business solutions provider until its sales in 2018. Notable solutions included a facilities management solution that focused on enabling organisations to manage their facilities in a more cost-effective and efficient manner, a virtual warehouse solution that enabled the paddock-to-plate traceability of produce, and a tactical load assessment system that reduced the risk of injury to combat personnel through load assessment and analysis.
In 2017 Mr Harrison-Brown took on a two-year challenge of transforming FICS into a more commercially structured business and laying the platform for its future growth. He has once again returned to FICS in 2024 in the role of Head of Operations to continue to build on this platform and manage the day-to-day business operations for the organisation on a part-time volunteer basis.
