😷 GAMES UPDATE: Everything is still in a holding pattern at this point, with no decisions by the International Federations to host sporting events at this stage. FICS are expecting to see more cancellation and continued postponement of events which were scheduled for 2020, until the World Health Organization feels the Covid19 health crisis is under control.
Many countries still have measures in place like lockdown, travel restrictions, international border closures, quarantine, and social distancing to reduce community transmission. The world is now facing the unpredictable impact of easing restrictions and bracing for a potential second wave. International Sporting Federations are taking advice from their local health bodies and FICS are closely monitoring the situation. As soon as things appear to be opening up and sporting events scheduled again, we will communicate with members.
📚Therefore, at this stage, we encourage all doctors to take this opportunity to complete the online learning and gain the ICSC in readiness for the game’s opening up again. 📚
